pad is an architecture laboratory based in Rome, Italy.
The five founding partners met each through previous collaboration at Fuksas Studio and Nemesi & Partners. Together, the pad architects possess an exceptional range of experience in urban planning and architectural and interior design, both for the private and public sectors, nationally and internationally.
Most recently for Nemesi & Partners, the five partners worked together on the Italian Pavilion for Expo 2015, involved across all phases, from the winning competition entry to detailed design and construction. Prior to Expo, the partners collaborated on the design of the ENI /SNAM headquarters in Milan, having won an international design competition in collaboration with the American studio Morphosis.
At Fuksas, three of the pad partners worked together as Senior Architects and Project Managers on a wide range of important international projects including commercial, retail and mixed use developments, cultural and educational buildings and transport schemes. Of note were: the Shenzhen Boa’an International Airport and the Guosen Security Tower Complex in Shenzhen, Cina, the International Congress Center in Rome, Italy, the Bory Mall Shopping Center in Bratislava, Slovakia and the Georges-Freche School in Montpellier, France.
