Finca

The project is located in the heart of the Mallorcas hilled countryside. Gently slopes, wild greenary and a wide view towards the high mountain chain on the ilands far distance west coast characterize the plot.
The Finca is leaned to the traditonal rural houses of Mallorcas inland. Warm natural stone
and wooden window closers are contrasting bright plaster and reflecting glass. Is the exterior impression a traditional envelope the inner organization is characterized by contemporary modern spaces.
A tiny courtyard with a small tree is the heart of the villa. Entering the main entrance glass walls create a view axis through the yard to the terrace and greenery on the other building side. Going further inside the Yard opens a view up to the sky. All spaces are linked directly or indirectly with this connecting negative volume. Its vertical orientation creates not only view connection between both levels and all main functions but also physically links. A flower ranked wall brings the greenery also to the upper level connecting the yard with the first floor terrace.
With the central location and its position close to the terrace the yard creates a fresh microclimate giving the villa an extraordinary high comfort for the hot summer time. During the cold seasons it offers an exterior space protected from the stormy weather.
The ground floor is organized as an open space circulating all around the yard. Towards the west big window doors are opening the living area to the roofed terrace which. In front of it is located the pool with sun decks and greenery spots. Kitchen and dining area are connected directly to the exterior southern terrace with its barbecue area.
An open staircase brings to the upper gallery with a light flooded distribution zone. The floor provides three rooms. Two of them are oriented to the west adjacent to the courtyard and connected to the terrace in between. The master bedroom offers an own bathroom and a tiny terrace to the east.
Ground floor and first floor are characterized by the main east west orientation with the far look out.
The project strength lies in the variation of inner and outer spaces with their different approach of horizontal and vertical view connections creating that unique experience in relation to the surrounding landscape blurring the limitation of in and out.
